I'm In Love

You know that feeling?

You feel light as air. Every step feels effortless. You glow. You can't wait to go out again. You tell everyone in your inner circle about this new development.

Well, consider yourself my inner circle.

I am in love with running skirts. My last few long runs (16, 18 and 20 milers) training for the Rocky Raccoon 50K in this still stifling Texas heat have been glorious in my running skirt. I love the way it breathes. I love that despite the fact I am soaked, my running skirt does not cling to me like wet shorts. I find myself always looking for it in my workout drawer, so I am putting two more skirts on my wish list for my upcoming Birthday and Christmas. If you have one you love, please leave a comment recommending it!

Sorry, guys, you are totally missing out on this one - unless you are brave enough to try one! I hear they make running kilts for men ...

Running kilts? That's hilarious! Well, I'm glad you found something that really works for you. I hate the clingy shorts when I'm soaked. I hope you get some more for your birthday/Christmas.

Do they really not cling to you when wet? I would totally give a skirt a try if it promised not to cling!

I might even just do it as a "hey, look at me" type of stunt for fun.

Glad to hear you like them so much!

Soooo talk to me about these runnng kilts ?!?!

Went out last night before the Steelers game and it was just brutal. At 6pm it was 93* still and humid?? What is this Fall thing people are talking about?

Hey on Oct 15th I am going to try and head up to Huntsville and get my long run in on the course. Let me know if you want to join us?

I'd love to know what brands you like. I really want to jump on the bandwagon, but want to make sure I'm buying a good one! :)

I love my Brooks running skirts :)

Didn't you guys see the guy at IMTX wearing a kilt?!?! Granted, it looked REALLY warm, but it wasn't clinging!
